These pre-workout beverages are excellent. They are extremely convenient to carry in my purse because they are little and do not cause any mess. I got the Lemon & Lime flavour, and it tastes a little strong, but the boost I receive is fantastic. These are sugar-free and have 16 calories per bottle. This was my first time using workout shots, but they worked well as a short-term solution.

I use a number of evidence base supplements as part of a healthy diet to help me achieve my fitness goals, so when these Warrior RAGE ENERGY SHOTS came up for review, I thought I would give them a try. First thing to note, is that this product has quite limited health warnings. Whilst it makes it clear pregnant women and under 18s should not consume this product, there are others that should also be warned but are not (e.g. those with high blood pressure, and those taking certain medications), although there is a generic disclaimer about consulting your doctor before taking these shots. And that is simply because the recommended daily dose of caffeine in healthy adults is 400 milligrams per day, and one of these shots contains 200mg. However, that aside, the shots do have a sweet and sour taste that is different from what I was expecting, but quite lip-smacking and not unpleasant. I have tried these twice now, once for a long weights session, and once for a long rowing session. If I am honest, I don't think the first shot made any noticeable contribution to my stamina with the weights, but I do think I was able to plough on with my rowing and didn't feel as tired as I normally would towards the end of the row. At 14.99 for 12 little shots (at the time of review) I am not particularly blown away by them. I struggle to see what they offer when I could just have a strong coffee before a workout, along with a protein shake.
