Taking these to build up my immune system as I don't get enough vit c through my diet in the winter. Decided to try the Osavi brand which is polish. What made these stand out is that all of their supplements are lab tested for content and purity and a test certificate is apparently available for each batch. This may be why they are a higher price point. No artificial additives or flavours. As pointed out by other reviewers, each tab is not 1000mg per tab. It's 500mg per tab. I have started on one a day and will increase to two. So far so good as everyone around me is ill, has a cold or flu but I've been fine. Price point seems a bit high, but I think it's because of the extra steps taken by the company to ensure the purity of each supplement.

If you research Vitamin C, you realise (if you have an open mind) just how important this Vitamin is. Most Vitamin C tablets are made from Ascorbic Acid. AA has an absorption of around 5%. This product is made from Lipsomal which helps the absorption rate. You can feel it working almost immediately and it works very well. Each tablet gives you 500mg of Vitamin C in a highly absorbable form. I take 2 tablets twice a day and you very quickly feel the effects. This is a reasonable product, but the label is misleading. It is not 1000mg per tablet, but 500mg per tablet.

I had not heard of liposomal vitamin C before I got this product, but it turns out that it is a rather clever feature that has two main advantages, firstly it makes the supplement far more readily absorbed by the body and secondly it is far kinder to the stomach and they don't need to be taken with a meal. The downside is that they are far more expensive than 'normal' vitamin C. So I suppose it depends on your budget and just how much you value the high availability these provide. Personally I am not sure that I want to pay that much, £21.45 for 120 tablets or 60 days supply, at the time of writing.

I find these capsules large but easy to swallow and a great way to boost my vitamin C intake.
